Day 3-4

We have been on the car hunt for 2 days and it has been an eye opening and challenging endeavor. We originally thought we could get a good ride for around 2000 dollars but soon realized that wasn't going to happen. We had to up our budget to 3500 to get a solid good running vehicle. We went to about 9 dealerships, and one huge car market and it was one of the first cars we looked at is the one we bought. Here she is, a 1992 Mazda RX-6.

This is the cutie im travleing with getting all excited in our new ride.

That was enough fun for one day and the next day we planned to get our new cell phones and a wireless internet hub. It is so much cheaper here in Australia to get a cell phone, we got pre-paid cell phones which means you buy the phone for like half the price in canada, buy a credit for the phone for 30 bucks and thats it your good to go, no contract, no bank accounts, and every month you jsut top up your credit.

After the cell phone trip in downtown Melbourne we decided to hit up the zoo.

This Zoo was massive and we should have given our selves more time to travel through it but we got to see everything except the big cats and bears. The first picture Ive posted is of a submaran Tiger, you have to look really closely but hes staring right at you in the grass on the left, he wasn't sure he wanted to come out.

The next picture is of a black tailed cockatoo, the zoo keeper was feeding him grubs and he was walking right around the railing and let me get some really good shots of him, he had such a beautiful tail it was breathtaking.

On too the GIANT Turotises, Jess took these pictures and got some great shots but this one is my favourtie, they really don't move they were just sitting with all the other birds around them.

The last picture is of this beautiful momma Koala. She was just sitting about 3 meters in front of us while the keeper was trying to get the baby to come out for everyone to see. It was our first expierence with a Australian animal but we have plenty too come.

Baby kangaroo at arms reach.
